My favorite restaurant

My favorite restaurant is called Shabu Tatsu which is located on: 216 E 10th St New York 10003 (Btwn 1st & 2nd Ave). It's Shabu Shabu. In case you don't know what shabu shabu is... Raw meat sliced thinly, noodles, and a mix of fresh vegetables all served on a plate. You then have a pot of boiling water built into the table. First you start by placing the meat in the water until it's cooked- which isn't long at all. Then you can start by placing the longer cooking vegetables in first. As soon as everything is cooked, you eat it. There are also sauces to dip your meat in. Here is a picture of what the meat and vegetables look like when its served to you. You start off my getting a salad, soup and then at the end you get ice cream. It's a great place to go with a group or just with one other person. It's a very small space with maybe only 8 tables. You can only make a reservation if you have 4+ people in your party. If you have less then that and its Friday or Saturday night... You might have to wait up to 2 hours! You can put your name on the list, and they will tell you how long. Since its on the Lower East Side, there are some good bars around to grab a drink or two while you wait. Just send someone back every once in a while to check on how much longer!

Pricing isn't too bad. For two people it's about $50. You get tons of food!!! I would also recommend the appitizer that is duck served with a dipping sauce. I can't remember what it's called. Also AMAZING!! You can get other appitizers like bibim bap rice dish. There used to be 3 in the New York City, but now this is the only one left. Go and try it!!! Its GREAT!!!! :)

Weeping Willow Trees

I'm in Massachusetts, visiting family for Easter. Being up here allows me to remember how much I love weeping willow trees. More so when I was younger- my friends and I would play under them, just like a hidden world away from everyone/everything. You see them more up here then at home. You don't see them as large, or with their branches hanging all the way to the ground. I feel as if by the time I have children, and they are able to use their imagination like my friends and I used to- weeping willow trees won't be like they were.
They are known to grow up to 8ft a year, and over 70ft in total. So, it might be like so many things in the world, and changing with the environment and climate changes.
